The World 5G Conference will be held at the Zhengzhou International Convention  Exhibition Center from December 5th to 8th, 2023. Chen Xiaonan, Secretary General of the Beijing Integrated Circuit Society, was invited to attend the TECH TALK 2023 5G Industry Strong Foundation Development Forum  delivered a report titled "5G Chip Creation, Ecological Win win", sharing relevant content on integrated circuits  5G.

The Secretary General pointed out that the core of 5G is integrated circuits. From the perspective of the 5G industry chain, chips play a huge role in the entire industry chain of 5G, including terminals,  stations, carrier networks,  core networks. From terminal devices  macro/micro  stations in the aerial communication hardware layer to main devices  data centers in the wired communication hardware layer, integrated circuits are indispensable. Including the 5G b chip required by the terminal, RF front-end,  CPU used by macro  stations FPGA、 Sending  receiving ADDA，  the server chips, optical modules,  so on used in the core network.

5G is one of the main markets fconsumer integrated circuits. The market space fintegrated circuits used in 5G applications is vast. In 2022, the global market size of integrated circuits used in the 5G communication market reached 139.2 billion US dollars, accounting fnearly 1/4 of the global integrated circuit market size. The domestic 5G chip market size is about 242.97 billion yuan, accounting f20% of the domestic integrated circuit market size.

As the penetration rate of 5G infrastructure  5G terminals gradually increases, The integration of 5G with industry applications is moving forward in depth,  significant achievements have been made in the innovative integration of 5G with technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing,  big data. It has been widely implemented in industries such as intelligent manufacturing, 5G system equipment, machine vision,  intelligent networking.

GTI predicts that by 2025, the global number of 5G module connections will reach 400 million, of which 10% of Chinas IoT modules will be d on 5G connections, with a sales scale of up to 100 billion yuan. It can be said that integrated circuits+5G are empowering all things  industries.

The current 5G industry integration application is entering a critical period of large-scale development, requiring different industries  fields to form a joint force to jointly solve the difficulties of cross domain integration,  break through technical stards  policy difficulties.
